MicroScent has patented a number of unique technologies for accurately creating and controlling fragrance and flavor
in combination with a variety of activities and real world experiences.
MicroScent's product development is focused on perfecting flavor and fragrance
performance in six key areas:
· Containment
· Metering
· Contamination Control
· Vaporization
· Dispersion
· Interactivity
Each area offers opportunities to enhance the user's experience. The goal
is to provide only enough flavor or fragrance to the user and only on specified queues so that the overall experience
is realistic and
positively memorable.
Our patents include, among other things, the use of the physical phenomenon known as a torus, or bolus - best described
here as a "doughnut-shaped ring" of scent which in vapor form moves through the air as a cohesive continually
reforming unit. Using this technique, these nascent scent rings can be propelled directly to the nose of the user
of a wide variety of entertainment devices. The overall experience is true-to-life because:
Minimal amounts of scent are delivered to the target environment to create
the desired effect.
Minimal interference occurs as multiple scents are presented.
Minimal capacity is required for both scent generation and storage.
Minimal to nil impact occurs for others who happen to be near to the user
of the device.
